About

As two Latina first-generation professionals, with one being a first-generation college student and the other being a first-generation American, the law school application process has been incredibly difficult. It is known that affluent students, children of professionals, and traditional students, have resources that are not easily accessible to others. This includes money to pay for tutoring, access to expensive consulting and editing services, connections with legal professionals and notable figures, and familial connections with Tier 1 schools.

According to Bloomberg Law, even though law school enrollment rose 2% to 132,684 in 2019, minority enrollment dropped by 0.2% at 11,871 students.  Both founders of this website knew that the business and law world was male dominated, but until we became business students ourselves, we did not understand the severity or the depth of this concept.

We aim to rewrite a historical narrative and create a website dedicated to networking that is geared toward women, minorities, first-generation students, and LGBTQ+ students. As two honors-educated students, with one finishing the law school application process and the other in the beginning stages, we have always wished to have a resource where we could network with other professionals, find opportunities, and receive advice. Therefore, our goal is to create an inclusive environment where students can gather advice from professionals to lead them on the right path while matching students with attorneys based on alma maters, legal interests, and preference. With this website, we hope to create an environment where students can reach out for proof-reading, idea-generating, and overall educational and mental guidance throughout their admissions process. Guidance is needed for those who may be the first in their family to apply to professional school. We want to build this resource to help students because a professional education should be readily available for all hard-working students, no matter their race, sexual orientation, or status.
